The HausWirtschaft

Identity in Space

The multicolored collective of the HausWirtschaft has taken the idea of a completely different house into their own hands. As a cooperative building group, they have translated their vision of living and working together into spacious architecture.

Located in the heart of the new Nordbahnviertel, it offers residents and guests a wide range of facilities: Co-working spaces, health practices, workshops, a large communal kitchen with a roof garden, a small hotel and the NordbahnSaal for events.

Cooperative Designing

The diverse HausWirtschaft community unites many professions and skills–the perfect basis for us to work together on the content and wording.

In joint workshops, we developed the modular system of compound words for all locations in the house—combined with color coding for better orientation.

Modulare Formgebung

This house planned by einszueins Architektur focuses pragmatically on economical and sustainable construction in order to create plenty of space for communal living alongside the apartments. This distinguishes The HausWirtschaft from projects that are often implemented in a standardized way by property developers.

We implement this spirit of colorfulness and cooperation—a building that celebrates community—in the space with our illustrative signaling. Starting from the floor plan, a strong pattern with significant shapes develops. The modular system marks important places in the building and adapts flexibly.
